28-29. person* (man and woman)

* Traditionally, these cards are Man and Woman and represent a person of that gender in a reading. However, as a descriptor, they can refer to traditionally masculine and feminine qualities.

I personally don't used these gendered meanings. I read these cards simply as "Person." Who that person is is defined by the cards around it. For example, Person + Mice could be someone who is very anxious.

36. albatross* (cross)

* This card is traditionally Cross. However, I'm not a fan of applying religious symbolism to my personal practice. The deck I use offers an alternative name for this card: Albatross, referring to the poem The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. I think it's a fitting replacement that keeps the same essence of bearing the consequences of your actions.
