- Monday was Indigenous Peoples Day, and a holiday that I get off work. Three-day weekends always feel relaxed and productive; I really wish they were the norm. More rest on the weekends would solve so many of my problems.
- Our adoption application for the new cat was approved! We'll pick up our new kitty at the end of the week! Between now and then, we have to set-up a few more things (litter box, water fountain, feeder) and make a pet store run for litter and small essentials. The excitement of a new pet is really carrying me through this week.
- Last week, I ordered a book on clicker training for cats (and a set of clickers). I know "cat training" is often treated as an oxymoron, but I'm excited to give it a try. I love a good challenge, and I hope it'll be a good bonding experience.
- Lately, I've been playing Blue Prince in my free time. I picked it up a while ago, but I put it down because I wasn't quite getting it. With so much RNG, how is one expected to reach the final room? However, I read a couple game reviews and realized that I had been approaching it all wrong. Now I've been playing the game with a notebook and pen at the ready, and it's been incredibly fun. I've got sooo many pages of notes from only a couple hours of gameplay, and it's a thrill when I discover a new revelation. If you like big-brain puzzles, I recommend this one.
